On October 15-17 in Washington, DC, IBM is hosting its 5th event focused on software and systems engineering. Known in the past as IoT Continuous Engineering (ICE) and as Continuous Engineering (CE) Summit, this event is now called Agile Engineering Summit. It will provide opportunities to find out how federal, automotive, industrial, A&D, healthcare and electronics companies are using IBM tools for engineering and software development. At the same time, there will be deeper dives into the tools themselves and into future development directions.
Whether you’re new to your role or already experienced in systems engineering, there’s something for you. And of course, the chance to meet developers, peers and IBM executives face to face.
Sign up to IBM’s Agile Engineering Summit
New to the IBM Watson IoT Continuous Engineering suite? Discover the big picture
For those who might be fresh to IBM Continuous Engineering products, there are ample opportunities to understand the basics. Many attendees just want to see the big picture about what they can achieve with IBM Watson IoT tools.
Sessions designed for these attendees include hearing from Eaton about why they selected the IBM Continuous Engineering solution, and from Raytheon on how they are creating a digital thread with model-based engineering. Northrop Grumman will introduce how they are using descriptive modeling as a teaching tool. And Mahindra & Mahindra will describe how they are using IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management to manage their vehicle development process.
Already an IBM Watson IoT product user? Go deeper with the experts
For those who want to go deeper into the capabilities of the IBM Watson IoT product set, there are a number of breakout sessions and labs. All delivering a detailed examination of specific product features.
For example, experts from Persistent Systems Ltd. and Intel will discuss tips and tricks for tuning product performance. Partners such as Sodius will explain how to extract the most value from Rhapsody models as either a system designer or a software engineer. Experts from Cerner Corporation and IBM will explain how to automate testing. And TechRev will highlight their apps for extending the IBM Watson IoT Continuous Engineering solution.
These sessions are designed for existing users who want to maximize the benefits of the IBM tools within their organizations.
Variety is the spice of life
Just as with any feast, variety is essential. While the subject matter surrounding such a broad solution is immense, it is delivered through a set of capability-focused tracks, including:
- Agile Development and Engineering Best Practices
- Requirements Management
- Model Based Engineering
- Quality Management
- Change and Configuration Management
- Digital Twin
- Artificial Intelligence and Engineering
Many of these tracks feature a ‘what’s new’ session for existing users and contain presentations from clients explaining how they are gaining benefits from the IBM Continuous Engineering solution. And for a hands-on experience with the product, visit the IBM booth for a variety of product demos including requirements management and digital twin.
Expand your network
Networking is a key benefit of such a focused event – whether it’s during a ‘birds of a feather’ session at lunch, or with a cocktail in the evening. There are ample opportunities to learn from peers about their experiences selecting and using IBM Watson IoT solutions. And your network doesn’t end with other companies; you can expand it to include the solution development team as well as IBM experts. Sign up to participate in the executive roundtable to meet directly with IBM executives and hear their vision for the future of Watson IoT.
