As the very first commercial curriculum partner for Coursera (the world largest MOOC), IBM Watson IoT needed to adhere to the same rigorous university standards for delivering challenging and instructional education content for IoT application developers.

To date, more than 15,000 individuals have registered for the new Watson IoT curriculum entitled, A Developers Guide to the Internet of Things. The course can be taken in two ways: as a certificate-based credit or as a free audit-only program. Designed for the new-to-IoT developer, the introductory course explores IoT programming and connectivity using Python, JavaScript and Node-RED. IBM is committed to the continued growth and development of a broad ecosystem of developers, engineers and programming professionals interested in IoT app development. On the coat tails of developer course success, experts are busy developing new skill-building and certification courses for Watson IoT this Autumn.
