Social Business for Defence: A Cure for Internal Amnesia & External Ignorance?

Defence and Intelligence organizations are transforming to face unpredictable, asymmetric threats whilst embracing coalition operations all within tough budgetary constraints.

Social Media offers a way to combat internal amnesia, providing a way to work together to solve problems that span organizational silos. It enables monitoring and response to unfolding external events, providing rich open source intelligence.

Over the coming weeks – and through this blog – I will develop a point of view on how these organizations can embrace Social Business to transform.

I will explore WHY Government organizations need to change and WHAT social business can offer to them, drawing from concrete examples. I will also suggest HOW to get started on this important journey.

I welcome your feedback / participation preferably via this blog but by e-mail / telephone if you would prefer. AND watch this space for updates!
