RIS NEWS: 5 Retail and CPG Technologies to Watch in 2015

Retail Info Systems (RIS) News published their “5 Technologies to Watch in 2015” here.  Payment Security. Internet of Things. Social Analytics. Pricing Optimization. Same-Day Fulfillment.  I don’t think any of these are a surprise.  Security has daily press and is top-of-mind with industry executives.  IoT is gaining steam, and more LIVE events around this topic are emerging globally.  Social analytics is more of a mystery, almost to many executives.  They have data, yet they are not certain how to best leverage it.  Pricing optimization has been around for a couple decades at this point, however I’m not certain that it will have a breakout year just yet.  It’s great technology, however retailers have not jumped on that bandwagon in droves, and CPG brands have embraced it even less.  Same-day fulfillment is consumer-driven and is driving experimentation around the world to devise optimum processes.  Are there other technologies to watch, like “Cloud”, “Mobile”, etc?
