I was reading a great article in MediaPost by Michael Bollinger around the marketing capabilities of Twitter for targeting consumers by CPG (and retail) brands. What struck me is the targeting power that can be leveraged via that social channel. Also, with IBM’s partnership with Twitter, I think brands have unprecedented opportunity to derive the real consumer insights that we are all talking about. This is really great stuff! Now, Twitter is moving data beyond social listening to drive actionable insights that yield business results.
