“MediaPost: 29% of US Ecommerce Transactions Now Mobile; 34% Globally”… WOW! Are Retail and CPG along for the ride?

A fascinating blog post by on the tsunami of mobile use globally hit me in the face when I tried to absorb what thee statistics really mean.  As the article states, if the statistics are accurate, more than a third of all Retail CPG eCommerce transactions are performed via mobile devices, growing ten percent in the last three months, alone.  There are currently some great mobile sites and apps for retailers and CPG Brands, alike, however I think the overall market, especially globally is far from “optimized for mobile”.  This is a huge opportunity for merchants right now.  Where do you see this going in the next twelve months?
