Embracing disruption at Bank Innovation Ignite with IBM

In the financial services industry today, industry leaders are focused on leading their organizations into the future:

  • Reshaping the customer experience with new business models supporting an integrated ecosystem-based marketplace
  • Digitally transforming operations, operating models and technologies to compete in a changing industry structure
  • Optimizing risk, compliance and security

These leaders are forming new partnerships—with fintech startups, financial service providers, and platform companies like Alibaba and Tencent— and exploring emerging technologies—such as AI, blockchain, and open banking—to help them develop a new transactional digital business fabric. Financial firms are in the process of moving new and legacy customer-facing applications to the cloud. To compete in new ecosystem-based marketplaces, they are developing new hybrid and multi cloud models so they can scale AI across multiple environments and data sets to deliver exceptional, creative and personalized customer experiences.

Too often cloud adoption can just happen, and security teams are asked reactively to make it secure and compliant. But it is possible to gain control and establish a proactive foundation of well governed, compliant security upon which these cloud projects can be built and managed. IBM has helped many regional and global organizations along this path with everything from migrating existing workloads to forward-looking projects such as blockchain and AI.

At Bank Innovation Ignite in Seattle, Washington, Mari Heiser, a Distinguished Engineer and CTO of IBM Cloud North America, will share background data and technical details on cloud adoption, as well as discuss how to make migration happen on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 12:30-1:30 PM during a networking luncheon.

At the networking session and the IBM booth, attendees can network with innovation experts, ask direct questions, and see demos of innovative financial services solutions.
