The first level of IBM Cloud certification, Solution Advisor, now has a full learning path available from IBM. Professionals with this certification are prepared to select and design solutions that are based on IBM Cloud.
The all-new free course, IBM Cloud Essentials, helps learners become comfortable with IBM Cloud services and engaging with others on cloud topics. IBM Cloud Essentials accompanies Introduction to Cloud, released in March, to complete the learning path for Cloud Solution Advisors.
Together, these courses provide approximately 12 hours of beginner-level training. No cloud experience is needed.
The courses and certification exam can be completed online, in compliance with social distancing recommendations.
I designed IBM Cloud Essentials with four independent, self-paced modules:
- Introduction to the IBM Cloud, introduces cloud services, deployment options and account types
- Infrastructure Services, explains IBM Cloud servers, networks and storage
- Workloads on the IBM Cloud, includes Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes and serverless cloud functions
- Solutions on the IBM Cloud, describes AI and data services, IBM Cloud Paks and DevOps support
IBM subject matter experts curated each module to provide a comprehensive, up-to-date view of IBM Cloud.
I recommend ‘Introduction to Cloud and IBM Cloud Essentials’ for anyone who would like ramp up on IBM Cloud quickly.
