IBM has a long history of taking the lead when it comes to adopting policies and practices that ensure workplaces are more inclusive and much more diverse, but we acknowledge that there is much more work to be done. For us, diversity alone does not drive inclusion. It is not enough to look different but sound the same.

We realize that seemingly small actions such as starting every meeting with land acknowledgement or encouraging all employees to share their pronouns on Slack and in email signatures help create a sense of community and inclusiveness.

For us, this award reinforces the merit of our current diversity and inclusion practices. We want to continue encouraging our employees to bring their most authentic selves to work.
