IBM Canada is one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for 2022, fourth year in a row

We are humbled to be recognized as one of Canada’s best diversity employers once again.

IBM has a long history of taking the lead when it comes to adopting policies and practices that ensure workplaces are more inclusive and much more diverse, but we acknowledge that there is much more work to be done. For us, diversity alone does not drive inclusion. It is not enough to look different but sound the same.

At IBM, we are continuously thinking and revaluating different ways to expand our sphere of impact, both inside and outside of our company.

We realize that seemingly small actions such as starting every meeting with land acknowledgement or encouraging all employees to share their pronouns on Slack and in email signatures help create a sense of community and inclusiveness.

Initiatives like IBM SkillsBuild, Tech Re-entry, STEM for girls and P-TECH are some of the ways we are extending pathways to economic opportunity to underserved communities.

For us, this award reinforces the merit of our current diversity and inclusion practices. We want to continue encouraging our employees to bring their most authentic selves to work. We will continue to learn on this journey, becoming better at building an inclusive workplace every passing day and inspiring employees, clients, and partners to do the same.
