The World of Open Source area of the Global University Programs site allows faculty and students interested in knowing about IBM’s role in open source to quickly navigate to top open community projects like HyperLedger for Blockchain, Qiskit for Quantum Computing, and CODAIT for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and more. One of the particularly exciting news items is a Digital Developer Conference running through the months of November and December 2019, which is free to everyone. The virtual conference includes the latest technical content around Artificial Intelligence (AI), containers and cloud in two tracks. Technical leaders like IBM Fellows Hillery Hunter, Sam Lightstone, and John Smith will introduce a variety of topics including “learning more with less: some innovations and recent research results in deep learning”. There are hands-on sessions, e.g., on Kubernetes and deep learning model deployment. There is even a talk on how fantasy football uses AI, from IBM Distinguished Engineer, Aaron Baughman. Do join us for this outstanding program.
