Free resources for teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week

We all know that teachers are some of the busiest professionals around. I know first hand because my mother was a teacher who poured so much energy and effort into shaping the lives of the young students she taught. I am so thankful for teachers like her and for so many others who have touched my life and countless others. We want to show all teachers our appreciation this week by sharing the following free resources to enhance learning and development.

  • Skill Up with IBM Learning Series:  Get tips and strategies to get your students career-ready in this free event series from IBM’s Open P-TECH.  For five weeks, we’ll be offering short, 20-minute sessions hosted by subject matter experts from IBM, designed to help you get your students prepared for the working world. You’ll leave this series with key resources, recommendations, and curriculum enhancements. Don’t worry if you can’t make the live event, all virtual events will be recorded and shared with those who have registered. Sign up today!
  • Career Readiness Teacher Toolkit: This is designed to help you bring career readiness to life in the classroom. Here you’ll find 30- to 60-minute lesson plans on career exploration and planning, resume writing and interviewing, along with shorter activities you can layer onto existing lesson plans.  Best of all, there’s no sign in required. All of the resources are free and available for download.
  • IBM AI Foundations for Educators Badge: All teachers – regardless of which year or subject they teach – can earn this badge for free! The purpose is to build a foundation in understanding AI and get resources for how to incorporate into teaching and learning.IBM AI Education is an online professional learning suite of highly engaging and free on-demand webinars, crafted by and for educators. The nine webinars guide educators through AI’s foundational concepts and K-12 classroom connections, with topics including introduction to AI, natural language processing, ethics, robotics, and more. Earn a certificate of hours for each webinar and the IBM AI Foundations for Educators digital badge upon completion of all nine. You will have to register for an Open P-TECH educator account to access the nine on-demand webinars, earn your badge and find more great resources to use with your students!
