Helping Hurricane Survivors Recover and Rebuild
Following the devastation of Hurricane’s Florence and Michael, IBM employees throughout North Carolina – many of whom had been affected by the storms themselves – sprang into action. In Wilmington, IBM volunteers provided the people power behind a collaboration with local nonprofit Convoy of Hope. Teams of IBM employees deployed to some of the hardest-hit areas of Wilmington to help homeowners clear out structural and outdoor damage, and to take the first steps toward rebuilding and recovery.
Of course, there’s still a lot more to be done – physically, emotionally and spiritually – to recover fully from the devastation of Florence and Michael. And IBMers will be there every step of the way to support the communities where we live and serve.
