In our seventh installment of the Social Business Book Club Hangout, we had the honor of speaking with Shawn Murphy on his first book, The Optimistic Workplace, and why organizations should look to create more conducive environments. Shawn discussed climate vs. culture, why leaders should get to know employees as a whole person, and why he doesn’t use the word ‘manager’ in his book (except when referring to archaic practices), among many other topics.
