IBM India recently organized a cloud computing workshop at one of India’s premier technical institutes, Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Kharagpur, at the annual technology festival, Kshitij 2012.
Dominique Vernier is an architect working for the IBM Global Cloud Sales Team and he created a package which provides some useful additional command-lines for the IBM SmartCloud Enterprise. As this package is written in Java, Dominique designed this package to allow developers to reused implemented Java classes. During this presentation Dominique will provide an overview of this package.
The virtual component of the UP Conference featured 3 IBM presentations. “Lessons Learned The impact on the future of Cloud and Standards," “Real client innovation in the cloud," and “The Cloud Computing Paradigm Transforming Business, Technology.” These presentations went through the current state of cloud computing and helped define the next steps for cloud.
Hybrid cloud was big in 2011 and no doubt will only grow as a major strategy in 2012. We figured to start out 2012, our first #cloudchat of the year should focus on hybrid, why it's such a smart choice for organizations, and how it's being used today.
The IBM Cloud Symposium was held at the TELUS Convention Centre in Calgary on November 29, 2011. The event was free and I estimate was attended by approximately 80 people. Here’s a summary of the key messages I heard throughout the day.
The purpose of this post is to share what I learned during the three days at the IBM Cloud Computing Technical Symposium, held from November 28 to 30 in Darmstadt, a nice town close to Frankfurt, Germany. Because it is not possible to summarize the content of 120 parallel sessions in one blog entry, this post highlights several key messages I caught in the sessions I attended.
The UP 2011 Cloud Computing Conference is occurring in Northern California from December 5 through December 9. I look forward to attending the conference because I believe it will have a lot of valuable information about how the latest trends and innovations in cloud can immediately solve business challenges.
Neil Weightman attended this IBM event on Thursday 17 November 2011. I hadn't previously been to the Institute of Directors (http://www.iod.com/), the venue for this event, but it has an unbelievably prestigious location in Central London on Pall Mall, just next to The Mall, which has some famous residents, most notably Elizabeth Windsor.
