The World of Watson conference focuses on the future of cognitive computing and how businesses around the world are using IBM Watson services to fuel next-level innovation in many different industries. In her keynote speech, Ginni Rometty summed it up: “Watson is the artificial intelligence platform for business.” This year, there was a big focus on using this technology to enhance video offerings from IBM.
Offering Manager David Kulczar led a session called “Streaming Video’s Next-Gen Recommendation Engine” that discussed how social media data and personality insights can help organizations better understand an individual video viewer. He explained how this capability can be used to present highly relevant video recommendations. It can also help organizations make informed marketing and content acquisition decisions that keep audiences engaged and coming back for more.
