I was in San Francisco last week for the DocuSign Momentum event. It was a really great conference located in one of my favorite cities. At the event, we announced a strategic partnership between IBM and DocuSign. Most people are familiar with DocuSign. They are the leader in eSignature and Transaction Management. Chances are, most of us have already used DocuSign at some point, whether it was for a mortgage or loan application, or maybe just to order a pizza.
This new partnership is really all about helping companies accelerate the path to digital transformation by providing a secure and flexible platform for transaction management. Companies will be able to replace paper-based manual (analog) transactions to reduce time, friction, and human error from the workflow. While the partnership applies to many parts of IBM, I am particularly excited about how it will apply to Enterprise Content Management. IBM intends to integrate DocuSign into Case Manager to provide a secure and reliable platform for optimizing business outcomes in processes requiring digital signatures.
The planned integration will apply to any process that requires an eSignature, but I expect it to be particularly helpful for use cases like On-boarding, Contracts Management and Legal Matter Management. I’m really excited to see how this partnership will help transform companies accelerate their path to digital transformation.
