When it comes to developing products for cloud, mobile and social, you need an agile and flexible approach. During their SXSW Interactive session “Innovating Development of Cloud, Mobile and Social” on Monday, IBMers Nathan Vega and Moe Abdula discussed just how Bluemix is defining the next generation of innovation and entrepreneurship. They shared how new approaches to development and new APIs and capabilities can radically change product/app definition, design, development and deployment for themselves and their clients. The #SXSWIBM session even ended with a live demo, showcasing an IoT app Moe built on Bluemix, the Digital Innovation Platform.

The SXSW Interactive Festival is in full swing and the Lounge in the IBM Cloud has been buzzing with attendees interested in Bluemix and checking out the hands on IoT powered by Bluemix demos. The Lounge is the perfect place for SXSWi festival goers to recharge and learn more about Bluemix services. Many have been creating personalized stress balls with the IoT Eggbot and racing the IoT chariot around, while capturing real-time driving information, all powered by Bluemix.

Two times a year, representatives of family-owned Bernhardt Furniture travel to Highpoint, NC for “the fashion week of furniture.” This show is for new furniture introductions and in the past, Bernhardt has relied on paper-based orders, making the ordering process more complicated and cumbersome than it needed to be.
