Currently, as few as 37% of puppies make it through the raising program to become successful service dogs for the blind. Given that it costs Guiding Eyes more than $40,000 to raise each dog, even a 5% increase in performance can yield the non-profit considerable savings. The first step was to move all the data — which includes 30 years of structured genetic breeding data and thousands of unstructured questionnaire documents — to IBM Cloud.

Typically, artists who design games spend huge amounts of time creating background elements, such as landscapes, or figures, like armies. One house could take hours to design and create, and a whole street or village might take days or even weeks to build.

As part of a multi-year collaboration with IBM, Delos will leverage Watson and data analytics through IBM Bluemix, IBM’s cloud platform, in order to draw closer connections between human health and the indoor environments in which we live and work. Watson’s work will draw from the terabytes of research data being generated from the Well Living Lab, as well as its Delos Labs and Delos Applied Research units.
Turning to IBM, the business found the high-performance cloud technology and advanced cognitive functionality needed to continue evolving its offerings and support its strategic vision.
