Prevent ransomware attacks with blockchain

This weekend saw a large scale 'ransomware' attack. It affected among other institutions, the National Health Service in the UK. Patient treatment was delayed and new born babies had to stay at hospitals a little longer than they should, because their identity couldn't be registered. This made me wonder if health records stored in blockchain could been used to prevent ransomware attacks.

This is the first of two blog posts that consider the business value of chat/conversation models beyond chatbots alone. Referencing a simple chatbot built around the Yelp API as an example, the first post, this post, reviews what goes into developing a conversation model around an external interface. The second post goes on to experiment using that conversation model as an independent tool for deriving insight from other bodies of text.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been tinkering on a Bluemix app called ‘Ziggy’ that works to showcase the psychology behind Bowie’s personas, using Watson Personality Insights.
