We’d like to inform you that we are retiring the Mobile Analytics service on August 31, 2018

We see this change as a way to better serve mobile needs in a single service while ensuring the Mobile Analytics experience will remain similar. To facilitate a seamless experience for Mobile Analytics users, the options are as follows:

  • Mobile Analytics users who have instances created through Mobile Foundation:
    • IBM will provide the option to move the Mobile Analytics instance into Mobile Foundation.
    • Users will need to delete the Mobile Analytics service instance icon. This will not delete data.
    • Billing for Mobile Analytics will be disabled on August 31, 2018. This service will be available along with Mobile Foundation.
  • Mobile Analytics only users:
    • Users will be billed for usage until August 31, 2019, or whenever they move to Mobile Foundation.
    • Based on your needs, a Mobile Foundation plan needs to be purchased. After purchase, users need to contact IBM (krishnakumarb@in.ibm.com) with their Mobile Foundation service instance ID before the first usage to wire old analytics data to the new instance.
    • Mobile Analytics service is available for one year (until August 31, 2019), and this gives sufficient time for Analytics-only users to move to Mobile Foundation service.

Developers can only use Foundation service SDK to build applications and the SDK will be updated to support in-app feedback.

Here’s what you need to know

End of Marketing Date: August 31, 2018

As of August 31, 2018, new Mobile Analytics instances cannot be provisioned. However, existing instances will continue to be supported.

End of Support Date: August 31, 2019

  • For a period of 365 days after the End of Marketing Date (through August 31, 2019), all existing instances will continue to be available on the Services dashboard in the Bluemix console. All existing instances will also continue to be supported by Mobile Analytics.
  • Any instance still provisioned as of the End of Support Date will be deleted.
  • Please delete your Mobile Analytics service instances before the End of Support Date.
