IBM Analytics Engine is going GA

The IBM Analytics Engine service will become generally available (GA) on November 1, 2017

The GA version of IBM Analytics Engines includes features such as the ability to spin up Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark clusters, integrate with Data Science Experience and work with data in cloud object storage.

We plan to sunset and delete the beta instances since the service is now going to GA. Here’s what you need to know:

End of Beta Date: October 26, 2017

As of October 31, 2017, new IBM Analytics Engine Beta instances cannot be provisioned. However, we will continue to support existing instances.

End of Beta Support Date: November 7, 2017

  • For a period of 11 days after the End of Beta Date, through November 7, 2017, all existing instances will continue to be available on the Services dashboard in the Bluemix console. IBM Analytics Engine will continue to support all existing instances.
  • Any instance still provisioned as of the End of Beta Support Date will be deleted.
  • Please delete your IBM Analytics Engine Beta service instances before the End of Beta Support Date, i.e. November 7, 2017.

As always, we’re here to help! Reach out to us in the support forums or on Twitter.
