Get detailed and aggregated metrics on your IBM UrbanCode Deploy servers from Delivery Insights

Share this post:

A new cloud-based monitoring service for IBM® UrbanCode™ Deploy is now available. Delivery Insights, which is part of IBM Cloud DevOps Insights, aggregates metrics information from one or more IBM UrbanCode Deploy installations into a manageable, customizable report. Your reports can show data about application and deployment successes and failures over many filter conditions.

To join the beta and set up Delivery Insights for your system, add the DevOps Insights service and then configure Delivery Insights for your IBM UrbanCode Deploy servers. For instructions, see Integrating DevOps Insights with IBM UrbanCode Deploy.

Customizable charts

Your Delivery Insights reports come with an array of charts that show deployment speeds, deployment volumes, and success rates. You can also create and customize charts and filter by time, application, environment, and team.

Aggregated environments

If you have multiple IBM UrbanCode Deploy servers or many environments on one server, you’ll love being able to see aggregated information about groups of environments. Create groups of environments manually or by using search strings, and you can see information for all of those environments in one place. For example, you can group all of your production environments for all of your applications into one production system health graph.

Built-in security

Access to your dashboard is controlled by your Bluemix organization (org). By default, only you can access the Delivery Insights reports that you create. You can also share reports with other people in your Bluemix org.

Viewing a sample report

DevOps Insights comes with a sample report that contains demo data. To see the sample report, follow these steps:

  1. From the Bluemix catalog, click DevOps Insights.
  2. Select a pricing plan and click Create.
  3. Click the Manage tab. In the “Start with Delivery Insights for UrbanCode” section, click Start Here.
  4. Expand Delivery Insights and click Reports.
  5. In the Demo section, click Demo Report.
