IBM is launching their first ever pop-up shop in London’s Silicon roundabout on 6-10th June. This latest creative venture from IBM, following their very popular Cognitive Studio at SXSW 2016, is nothing to do with their ‘hardware business’ and all to do with bringing their Platform as a Service offering, Bluemix, to the forefront.
Immerse yourself in the Bluemix experience and outthink your limits. You can challenge an opponent on the new and improved IoT Bluemix Foosball Table, find out if you are sweet or sour by engaging with the Watson Wimbledon Candy Dispenser. Learn more about the home of the future with an IoT Dolls House and use the force by controlling a BB-8 with tweets. You can hear how blind ultra-marathon runner Simon Wheatcroft is powered by eAscot, an app built by the London Bluemix Garage to enable him to run 3 consecutive marathons, solo, in the desert.
There are lots of fun, as well as serious applications to try out and learn about at the Bluemix Pop Up Shop, open June 6-10th from 7.30am to 7pm at Unit 2, Old Street Station, London, EC1Y 1BE.
