Today, the IBM XPages runtime enters into BETA release phase on Bluemix. The XPages runtime, along with the XPages boilerplate and XPages NoSQL Database service, have been considered experimental for the last six months. Moving the runtime to BETA signals the intention to make the runtime generally available on Bluemix in the coming months.
We encourage you to try out the beta XPages runtime and come to IBM Connect 2016 in Orlando, January 31 – February 3, where you can attend the following sessions to give you a strong introduction to Bluemix and the IBM XPages for Bluemix runtime:
You also have the opportunity at Connect to talk with people that can help you with any Bluemix questions that you may have.
The XPages runtime provides Domino developers with a whole new set of possibilities, one of which is the catalog of Bluemix services that can be used to add value to applications. Whether it’s using Watson’s Personality Insights to identify psychological traits or DevOps Monitor and Analytics to understand how your application performs, Bluemix’s catalog offers functionality previously unavailable to Domino developers.
To help get you up to speed on developing XPages applications on Bluemix, here is a list of videos we have published in the past.
Start off the New Year by using the BETA release of the IBM XPages for Bluemix runtime and join us at IBM Connect 2016 at the end of January! We welcome your feedback at dW Answers and please tag your entries with
