Enterprise transformation with Bluemix Hybrid

Share this post:

Those following the Bluemix story understand the true power of Bluemix – allowing developers to focus on faster, better and easier ways to build applications in the cloud. Developers are able to choose from a catalog of over 120 services and stitch them together to create powerful cognitive, Internet of Things, and mobile applications. Just google “Bluemix Hackathons” to see all the cool applications developers are building with the platform. It is no surprise that we are onboarding over 15,000 new users per week!

But how do you bring the speed, agility, and scale that Bluemix has to offer to an Enterprise bound by strict data residency, regulatory requirements, and sensitive workloads? How do you extend and build on existing system of records in a modern way (REST APIs)?

Introducing Bluemix Local

Enter the third leg of our hybrid strategy – Bluemix Local.

Let’s take a look at a typical scenario: an enterprise customer using Bluemix to build a hybrid solution. This video tells the story of a fictitious bank called HybridBlueBank, who used the hybrid deployment models and the integration capabilities of Bluemix to bring the speed and agility of Cloud to their systems.
