  • Getting Started with IBM Bluemix
This free online course will help you understand the fundamentals of cloud computing, Bluemix, services, DevOps, containers, Cloud Foundry, and best practices for agile and test-driven development. The course includes video lectures, exercises, and quizzes.
  • Create SQL reports from a NoSQL database
Learn how to use Bluemix to create a Cloudant service instance that stores JSON data, and a Bluemix Embeddable Reporting service instance to design and generate reports. To gain access to these services, you’ll create a Bluemix application and bind it to the services.
  • Build a simple face detection web app
Develop a simple web application with PHP to use the powerful cognitive computing features of the AlchemyAPI service on Bluemix. The app demonstrates how the face detection functions of the AlchemyAPI service can study images and find faces, identify the gender, estimate the age, and often identify the specific person.

Check out Bluemix on developerWorks for more great how-to and introductory content on Bluemix, including quick-starts, a list of tutorials available for each Bluemix service, and more.
