A script is available to assist in blue-green deployments

Bluemix supports the blue-green or zero downtime deployment technique to enable continuous delivery and minimize downtime events. For more information on this see the blue-green deployment section of the Managing Apps article in the Bluemix documentation.

A script is available at to assist with blue-green deployments. Use the script,,  to deploy your application onto a new buildpack version. This script will rename your original application to a new application name. Then it will push the application you specify using that new application name. In the process an appname_manifest.yml file is generated.
