New Cloud Foundry command line client tool – cf version 6 – “gcf”

Share this post:

The Cloud Foundry command line client has just been updated to version 6, and is ready for use with BlueMix. This version is much simpler to install (no need to install Ruby) and is dramatically faster to use. Go ahead and give it a try in place of the older ‘cf’ version.

PS Please note that this new version has often been called ‘gcf’ because during its beta development, it was given that name (the ‘g’ is because it was written in Go). The final release of the new tool just takes the original name of ‘cf’ however.
