in turn, helps governments operate more efficiently, identify areas for improvement, and increase satisfaction and trust among citizens.
The State of Oklahoma has taken an important step toward creating a smarter government with improved efficiencies, lower costs and enhanced citizen services. Oklahoma worked with IBM to develop a new IT infrastructure that has established a model for compliance with federal guidelines on how states should handle information and processes. By analyzing its operations and consolidating computing capacity,Oklahoma is realizing significant savings in software licensing and technology maintenance costs. The result: the state expects to save more than $15 million over the next five years, while improving service to its residents.
