PartnerWorld at Think Monday recap: Insight, inspiration and celebration
Today was an exciting opening day for PartnerWorld at Think. If you are here with us in San Francisco, you know that the day began with insightful strategic talks from IBM executives, continued with engaging sessions with tech and business visionaries, and concluded with a celebration of Business Partner excellence.
Here are a few highlights from the day:
Insight: General Session
At the general session this morning, John Teltsch, General Manager, Global Business Partners at IBM, discussed new initiatives and investments to expand ecosystem partners’ reach, build their skills, and progress their opportunities in 2019 and beyond.
IBM Senior Vice Presidents Tom Rosamilia, Arvind Krishna and Michelle Peluso, and General Manager of IBM Analytics Rob Thomas focused on strategy in their presentations.
Inspiration: Think-In sessions
This year we introduced Think-In Sessions, where attendees could engage with industry experts and get some fresh perspectives on how to achieve success. Sessions included topics ranging from making the most of client feedback to building your own value ecosystem. Featured speakers were:
- Charles Duhigg, bestselling author of The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business.
- Jenn Lim, CEO and co-founder of Delivering Happiness, and consultant at Zappos.
- Josh Linkner, founder and chairman of The Institute for Applied Creativity.
Celebration: Beacon Awards Cocktail Reception and Gala Dinner
After the day’s sessions concluded, we had the chance to relax and celebrate 20 years of Business Partner excellence by honoring the latest Beacon Award winners. The Beacon Awards acknowledge IBM Business Partners delivering remarkable solutions that transform the way clients and industries operate. This year, John Teltsch and I were proud to present our IBM Business Partners with awards for their innovative products and services.
Missed the IBM Beacon Awards ceremony? We’ll post a video here on Business Partner Voices soon.
Clearly, it was a big day here in San Francisco. Tomorrow, we’ll have Geography Forum Sessions, a Partnering with IBM @ Think Park event and the BP Café open house. Then we’ll make the transition to Think 2019, which starts tomorrow afternoon.
