New Cognos Analytics deployment options are live worldwide

[Editor’s note: This is a new version of a post from November 2018, updated with the latest information for customers.]

We’ve been talking about the AI-driven Cognos Analytics 11.1 for a little while now — and the feedback we’ve been getting from customers tells us our enthusiasm is justified. Now we’ve made it even better with new Cognos Analytics deployment options.

Because both the software and the needs of our customers are complex, we’ve deployed the software in phases to different parts of our user base. The initial release in September was for Cognos Analytics on Cloud, delivered as a digital SaaS offering from one of our U.S. data centers.

This new Cognos Analytics on Cloud deployment has several advantages. First, it’s the fastest possible way to access Cognos Analytics. Whether you need Cognos Analytics for one user or your whole company, it’s as simple as completing an online purchase through our site. Once you give us your payment details, the full features of the software are at your fingertips through your Web browser.

Another advantage is that you have the flexibility of paying by the month, so there’s no big financial commitment up front, and no contract to fulfill.

Three new Cognos Analytics deployment options

Our next release included three new deployment options to bring the new functionality of Cognos Analytics 11.1 to more of our customers worldwide.

First, we introduced the Cognos Analytics on Cloud — multi-tenant option with support from data centers in the Netherlands, Australia, and Brazil. This brings the same benefits described above to our customers in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.

Second, we have a Cognos Analytics on Cloud — single-tenant option for our customers who want the power and flexibility of a SaaS deployment, but would rather do it from dedicated servers. If that’s something you care about, this option gives you a little more control over the computing environment. We have various single-tenant options starting with as few as 25 licenses.

Finally, we now offer a more traditional Cognos Analytics — on-premise option for our customers who don’t yet want to move their analytics to the cloud. You can deploy on premise now with the knowledge that you can easily migrate to the cloud whenever you’re ready.
