My team and I hear these concerns in the hallways of the companies we work with, from cloud-native startups to Fortune 100 companies. The Cloud Technical Engagement team at IBM Cloud turns challenges into opportunities, ensuring that the companies and teams with whom we collaborate leave each engagement knowledgeable and confident in their next steps. Meet with us at the Cloud Confidence Center during InterConnect 2017.
With the advent of sensors in all walks of life, the Internet of Things is on a path to generate the Biggest Big Data our planet has known. How can we successfully harness this ocean of data? We need end-to-end IoT data pipelines that collect, store, and analyze the data. In this blog, we introduce the Message Hub Object Storage bridge and show how it can enable just such an end-to-end IoT data pipeline on IBM Bluemix.
Cloud storage can provide a flexible, scalable opportunity to help your organization grow and keep up with storage demands. It’s an excellent business opportunity, and IBM InterConnect 2017 is an outstanding place to learn how to capture it. More than 20,000 cloud professionals will gather at the conference to network, train and learn about the future of technology. Planning your schedule? Since there are far too many sessions to mention, I’ll share four of my favorites.
We know there are tons of sessions to pick from at InterConnect 2017. To help narrow down your choices, we've created five must-see, can't-miss, once-in-a-lifetime InterConnect sessions from the IBM Bluemix Garage.
At InterConnect 2017, several sessions explain how the IBM Cloud Garage Method enables transformation by incorporating design thinking, Lean, agile, and DevOps practices. Teams follow the practices while they learn new technologies, such as Cognitive and Internet of Things (IoT). They can start deploying to the cloud in minutes and continue to iterate capabilities while they follow reference architectures to meet enterprise scale. Toolchains enable this process, while integrated tools support the team
If you have never been to IBM’s Interconnect, you might be wondering “With all of the other conferences and events focused on developers and technical topics, what makes Interconnect different?” Well, let me share some of my experiences so you can see for yourself why it is worth attending.
IBM has a number of development, test, and site reliability engineering (SRE) teams that are deployed worldwide. This allows the entire team to maintain Bluemix 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Critical to that maintenance is the BOSH technology. BOSH is an open source tool for release engineering, deployment, lifecycle management, and monitoring of distributed systems. It is core to the Cloud Foundry technology and allows IBM operators to perform maintenance and recovery actions on any Bluemix deployments. What follows are the top lessons we have learned in the past year operating Bluemix at this incredible and unsurpassed scale. Dr. Michael Maximilien, IBM scientist and researcher, walks us through these lessons.
In celebration of Valentine's Day, we have an offer for you, but you must not delay. It's a gift from the heart and will make you swoon, but with just one day, it will be gone soon.
The cognitive, enterprise grade cloud platform isn't just for enterprises. Startups are growing at an unprecedented rate and these same startups consume like the enterprise, build like the enterprise, and become the enterprise. Today, Gliding Eagle's global trade application runs on IBM Bluemix Virtual Servers. This allows them to reach clients across the world with global availability.
