Ransomware’s Protection Winner, Zerto, on IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions

Zerto, IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions’ Disaster Recovery solution, has won the prestigious award of being the Ransomware Protection Company of Year at the 2017 Storage Awards!

The number of ransomware attacks worldwide has grown exponentially, from 2015 to 2016, with ransomware attacks rising from 3.8 million to 638 million incidents, a 167x increase.* Ransomware is a looming danger that threatens nearly every enterprise. Fortunately, Zerto on IBM Cloud allows customers to quickly recover from a ransomware attack without interrupting their applications or customers.

Zerto on IBM Cloud mitigates cyberattacks by protecting existing workloads with recovery point objectives (RPO) measured in seconds and recovery time objectives (RTO) measured in minutes. These RPO and RTO times are achieved through Zerto’s continuous block level replication that replicates directly from the hypervisor, which enables Zerto to recover up to 30 days’ worth of checkpoints every few seconds. Zerto’s low RPO and RTO times, as well as it’s virtual-aware replication allows customers to lessen the consequences of ransomware, as companies can quickly recover their data with little data loss or downtime. Learn more about how Zerto can help you mitigate risks and recover fast by watching this video.

Zerto on IBM Cloud provides on-premise and IBM Cloud customers with a secure, flexible, and scalable IT resilience solution. It is a single tenant solution, which is ordered and provisioned from the IBM Cloud for VMware Portal with the choice of being deployed on Cloud Foundation or vCenter Server. Customers’ have full bare-metal access to IBM Cloud, which provides them with control of their VMware and disaster recovery environments.

Once deployed, customers have access to IBM Cloud’s global network backbone that allows them to replicate data between IBM Cloud data centers at no additional costs.

We at IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions would like to congratulate Zerto on their prestigious award, and are thrilled to be partners! Together, leveraging Zerto’s award winning ransomware protection technology on IBM Cloud’s global bare metal infrastructure, we are providing users a secure, flexible, and scalable disaster recovery environment.
