Jeroen gave up his job in oil and gas to launch OrcaNation – the vehicle he created to highlight the seriousness of the problems facing the planet’s oceans, to develop change projects, to touch the hearts of younger generations, and to begin turning tides. After years of research and development, in 2021 he launched The Reef Company - an advanced technology company, focused on the Blue Economy with the mission to build a smart network of engineered reefs around the world, which will restore habitats, regenerate biodiversity, absorb carbon, and collect big ocean data. Currently he is developing a Holding Company - Blue Beat, which encapsulates the Technology Business (The Reef Company), the Education Business (OrcaNation) and a Startup Accelerator (Narwhal Ventures). Where all companies are structured to deploy globally and at scale.
