Today, we’re excited to announce that the IBM Cloud platform has gone through a major overhaul, allowing you to manage your cloud solutions as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.
You can now manage all of your infrastructure, services, applications, and accounts in a single location: cloud.ibm.com.
Beginning September 12, 2019, a percentage of control.softlayer.com users with completed accounts will be directed to an intermediate page after logging in. This intermediate page will let users know that they have been selected to switch to cloud.ibm.com, with a link provided on the page.
What to expect
After you log in to cloud.ibm.com with your SoftLayer ID, you can navigate to your infrastructure items in the following ways:
- Click the Menu icon > Classic Infrastructure.
- Click the Menu icon > Dashboard, and select any of the links that are listed in the Classic infrastructure widget.
- Click the Menu icon > Resource List, and expand any of the infrastructure categories (for example, Devices, Network, and Storage).
Save time and get more accomplished with a new simplified view of your device quotes and upgrades, orders, cancellations, and shipments for your infrastructure resources.
Manage SoftLayer access for your users in a single place. Easily update permissions for classic infrastructure services or add device and VPN subnets for your users at any time.
When you’re ready to place an order, you can now use the IBM Cloud catalog. Navigate to the catalog in two ways: click Catalog from the menu bar or click the Menu icon > Dashboard > Create resource.
You can also create and manage your support tickets—which are now called cases—from one location in the Support Center. Additionally, you can also access and view your archived cases.
