Now you can allow or deny IP addresses that are able to reach the content delivered through our IBM Content Delivery Network service on IBM Cloud.

Hotlink protection is a rules-based behavior that lets you control whether certain websites are allowed access to your content delivered through our IBM Content Delivery Network (CDN) service. The browser typically includes a Referer header when an HTTP request is made from a link on a webpage, and when that link points to a remote asset. The link that one website uses for access to an asset from another website is called a hotlink. Typically, a user will block all other websites from accessing the content that is delivered through our service to avoid paying for traffic that occurs on another website. With this new hotlink protection feature, two types of behaviors are now available directly from our IBM Cloud UI: allow and deny.
