Cloud Developer is a hot career for IT professionals who want to make the most of their development skills.

Cloud Developers plan and implement cloud applications that are enhanced by managed services, DevOps processes, and automation tools.

A new certification is available for Technical Developers who would like to certify on IBM Cloud. Technical Developers with the IBM Certified Professional Developer – Cloud v4 certification have demonstrated their ability to do the following:

  • Understand concepts essential to the development and operations of secure Cloud applications
  • Create and maintain applications on IBM Cloud
  • Build applications by deploying their code on cloud platforms and extending them through managed services

This professional-level certification validates that individuals can perform these tasks with little to no assistance from product documentation, support, or peers.

IBM Cloud certification exams are administered by Pearson VUE and are proctored remotely to maintain social distancing. The cost of IBM certification exams varies by country.

To prepare for the certification exam, the IBM Center for Cloud Training offers a new subscription-based learning path for Cloud Developers for customers and IBM Business Partners. IBM employees should enroll in ICCT learning plans on the IBM Your Learning web site.
