Premier keynote sessions
“Java and Cloud Native Transactions” with Ian Robinson, IBM, and Mark Little, Red Hat
Java-based distributed transaction systems brought the internet to enterprise data and played a key part in the digital transformation of almost all IBM and Red Hat customers through application servers. The need for transactional data access patterns remains but the requirements for transactions in cloud native applications are quite different from those that helped make the Java platform successful in the first place.
IBM and Red Hat have been working together, and occasionally fighting, in this space for years. In this keynote, we’ll talk about the changing nature of how applications will use transactions in the cloud.
Three tracks, live and on-demand
We’ve broken down our exploration of cloud dev into three tracks: Build, Deploy, and Secure.
Learn to build cloud-native apps faster. Deploy and manage your cloud native apps with increased confidence. Integrate security into your everyday processes. The possibilities are endless!
All sessions and keynotes will be available during the free live event as well as on-demand for 90 days after.

A new community for the future of cloud
The Community Day for Cloud Dev is a highly valuable virtual event being offered for free from expert developers and managers in the field of cloud and cloud native development. I do hope you will join us for it.
IBM believes sharing knowledge, having broader discussions, and learning from others are key pillars in advancing innovation and technology. That is why there is a new home for IBM public cloud users to connect with a virtual community.
After the Cloud Dev event, I hope you will continue your cloud exploration with fellow users in the IBM public cloud community. I’ll see you there!
