Enhance IBM Cloud virtual servers with NVIDIA Tesla P100 GPUs
We’re excited to announce the global availability of NVIDIA®Tesla®P100 graphics processing units (GPUs) in IBM Cloud’s virtual server environment. Customers have already begun taking advantage of NVIDIA® Tesla® P100 capabilities on our virtual servers in the U.S.; now you can access those same capabilities in Europe.
Using the power of NVIDIA® Tesla® P100 GPUs, you can significantly accelerate the performance of your compute heavy workloads, such as data analytics, AI, high performance computing (HPC), and graphics-intensive applications. The NVIDIA®Tesla®P100 accomplishes this by delivering 4.7 teraFLOPS of double-precision performance to accelerate compute-intensive workloads. The addition of a NVIDIA®Tesla®P100 accelerator delivers up to 65 percent more machine learning capabilities and 50 times the performance than its predecessor, the Tesla K80. Read more on testing here.
The following flavors are now available in the U.S. and Europe with block and local SSD storage options:
IBM Cloud offers the NVIDIA® Tesla®P100 GPU on both bare metal and virtual servers so you have choices to best suit your organization’s workloads. With NVIDIA® GPU support on virtual servers, you are able to take advantage of the raw power of bare metal in conjunction with scale and rapid provisioning.
