Interactive dashboard to monitor power outages in your area

The dashboard brings together the most important information to drive your decisions since visual data representations better tell the story of what is driving your territory's outage predictions. The panel is designed to easily and quickly learn where, when and why outages are predicted. Interact with content to discover details, use controls to change your focus from larger to smaller areas and identify relationships between conditions and predictions.

Prediction model with 72-hour lead time

Weather-related power outage predictions are updated as weather models update in real-time, enabling your operations team to make critical decisions as much as 72 hours ahead of an anticipated weather event—helping to control costs and improve restoration times for your customers.

Quickly identify risk areas

An "Outages by Area" chart in the dashboard lets you spot the areas with the most urgent needs so you can drill down into those quickly. This will be helpful in understanding the biggest impacts over the next three days. Also, a "Weather by Area" table shows the areas most threatened by weather, letting you sort by forecasted condition to discover potential causes for outages.

Map legend to identify different mobilization levels

The mobilization level predicted for a given area is based on both the area type and the number of power outages forecasted. On the map legend, you can see the outage-count ranges for each level by area type, so lookup is transparent. Hide these outage counts and simplify the legend when done.

Access forecast and observed weather layers

Follow various forecasted and observed weather conditions as they move in and out of your service territory. You can select weather layers such as radar, wind speed, temperature, precipitation and snowfall among other conditions. Filters enable you to focus on relevant data. For example, you can filter specific areas where wind gusts are above 25 mph. See greater detail about tropical storms, including their current position, wind and gust speed and where and when they're predicted to move.

Analyze power outage prediction trends

Monitor how the storm outage forecast has been trending from the past 6 hours to the past 2 days. This feature allows you to compare old predictions with new ones and recognize relationships at a glance. Without much thought, know where and when wind and precipitation could be a concern and how great a concern given the area of impact. The addition of threshold values and outage ranges to the map remove the burden of recall.

Scenario planning

Plan for best- and worst-case scenarios looking at variable factors such as wind speed, precipitation, temperature and humidity. Visualize in the dashboard those conditions you create while analyzing their impact in run mode.

Perform historical storm searches

With the Storm Search feature, you can easily compare current forecast conditions and predicted storm outage risks to historical storm data with outcomes under similar weather conditions to make more informed decisions.
