Hossam Seif El-Din is the Vice President for Sales, IBM Middle East & Africa, headquartered in Dubai since 2013. In addition, he is the acting General Manager for Middle East and Pakistan. During his tenure, Hossam has specifically focused on formulating and executing the IBM strategy across the region.

Part of his main responsibilities in the last 15 years was expanding IBM footprint, offerings & Services into new countries across Middle East and Africa and building those countries organization capability.

Hossam started his career in his native Egypt 23 years ago, as a Systems Engineer, where he also held a number of other leadership positions, including Sales Manager for Telecommunication & Banking industry then moved in 2004 to Dubai, UAE, where he held other leadership positions including Territory Executive for Saudi, Director of Operations for the region and Vice President for Strategy & Sales Transformation.

Hossam holds a B. Sc. in Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo and a Diploma in Management from Henley University (UK).

Assistant Director General, Smart Dubai & CEO, Smart Dubai Data

H.E. Younus Al Nasser is a prominent Emirati competent leader in the field of digital transformation and one of the most well-known executives in managing the future visions of UAE in general and the Emirate of Dubai in specific. For over 15 years he has occupied several official positions in the government of Dubai that have contributed in building the digital capacities of the Emirate. Currently he is the Assistant Director General of Smart Dubai and has been the leader of the most innovative data initiative in the region and worldwide, the Dubai Data Establishment, since 2014. Furthermore, Al Nasser is also the head of the UAE Data Committee vested with building the UAE National Data Strategy and launching the National Data Platform, under the UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence.

Among his major achievements is the launching of several unprecedented initiatives in the field of Data, principally leading the launching of Dubai Data Establishment and the Dubai Data Law , as well as Dubai Plus; the first fully-integrated platform of its kind worldwide that collects data from both the public and private sector, and is considered the backbone of smart digital transformation in Dubai and one of the eminent potentials for Smart Dubai to become the happiest on earth. He also oversaw the implementation of Dubai Data initiative, considered one of the most comprehensive and ambitious data initiatives in the world, and the achievement of opening and exchanging data between the governmental establishments of Dubai.

Moreover, Al Nasser assumed the duties of the Director of Projects and Security Systems in Dubai Electronic Security Center, which was vested with building the criteria for providing electronic security in the Emirate and overseeing its implementation, following flexible and streamlined approaches in project management. He was also member of the Dubai Open Data Committee, established in 2014 by a decree granted by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, for the purpose of proposing the Dubai Data Strategy, the Dubai Data Roadmap and the Dubai Data Law. Al Nasser is one of the most prominent digital executives worldwide, and has contributed as a speaker in countless events featuring future prospects about data, such as the Smart Cities Summit in Barcelona and many other international events.

Gary Schneider has been in the technology industry since 1988, when he joined IBM as a software developer at the IBM Toronto Lab Database as a member of the DB2 development team. He was a member of the initial technology transfer team that first delivered DB2 on the Windows and AIX platforms in the early 90’s, porting the product from OS/2. During that time in Toronto he held positions with progressively increased responsibility within Development, Business Partner Enablement, Marketing and Business Development.

In 1999, he ventured into the entrepreneurial space, leading a startup technology company that specialized in digital media distribution using VPN (Virtual Private Networks) for in-store advertising. Key clients include Wal-Mart Canada and Wendy’s Corporation. The company won the Canadian Venture Fair as the best investment opportunity of the year in 2000.

In April 2001, he returned to IBM US, being named Worldwide Director of Channel Development, responsible for worldwide strategic alliances and technical enablement for IBM’s Information Management (IM) division under IBM Software Group.

In March of 2003, he was named Director of Linux Competitive Technology for IBM’s Information Management business. In this role, his organization had responsibility for IBM Data Management’s business strategy and execution on Linux, including alliances with Novell, Red Hat and other emerging Linux vendors and solutions providers.

In January 2006, he was appointed to the position of Worldwide Director of Field Technical Presales and Sales Enablement for Information Management, responsible for the Field Technical IM community, as well as overall sales training for all IBM seller communities on the IM portfolio.

In February 2010, Mr. Schneider accepted the role of CTO & Vice President of Technical Leadership for IBM's Growth Markets Unit, based in Shanghai, China, responsible for driving technical sales, innovation, and technical & professional skills development across the eight growth market regions.

He is currently Vice President of Global Technical Sales, based in Armonk, New York.

Mr. Schneider has an engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada.

Sam Seddon

Wimbledon and RFU Client Executive

Sam is the IBM Sports and Entertainment Partnership lead for the UK. This covers IBM's partnerships with Wimbledon and England Rugby. His role covers the identifying and constructing partnership agreements through to the technical delivery and showcase of IBM's industry leading technology.

At Wimbledon Sam has responsibility for managing the client relationship for all the services that IBM provides to The Championships. This includes a team of 180 at peak during the fortnight from capturing data from the courtside, to media services, security systems and all digital platforms. He also oversees all marketing activation including the strategy and execution of the advertising campaign thought to performance / events marketing, internal and external communications and on-site hospitality experience.

Prior to his role leading the UK Partnerships team Sam was a GBS Business Strategy and Technology Strategy consultant.

Sam has won numerous industry awards including Cannes Lion Silver, Campaign Magazine Digital Innovation of the Year and has been recognized by Information Age as one of the top data leaders and influencers in the UK.

Government Affairs & Partnership Management Executive Director, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority

H.E. Saeed Al Mulla is currently Executive Director of Government Services at the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA). As such, he leads efforts to establish integrated platforms, services and channels towards personalized and seamless government service experiences. He oversees the Authority’s flagship TAMM program, as well as initiatives such as AD 800555, AD Pay and AD Connect.

Prior to that, Saeed held various positions at the Executive Council, including as Head of Service Design of City Makers, where he improved shared government services through the facilitation of workshops focused on overcoming challenges, promoting ideation and practical implementation of initiatives. He further contributed to the Dubai The Model Centre as Head of Public Service Transformation, leading the City Makers set up of permanent operations to improve shared services, and managing the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government. He began his career at Dubai Internet City and contributed within various management roles at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

H.E. Saeed Al Mulla holds an MBA from Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan, and a B.S. in E-commerce from Higher Colleges of Technology, UAE.

Takhliq Hanif is the Chief Architect and Head of Architecture (Technology & Innovation) for the Etihad Aviation Group (EAG). He holds fellowships with the BCS and the IET and is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered IT professional (CITP), Opengroup architect (OPEN CA) and a senior member of the IEEE. Before joining the world-class Etihad Aviation Group (EAG), Takhliq spent 18 years with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Hewlett Packard (HP) in the UK leading architecture, design, engineering and consulting across multi-billion dollar accounts. Takhliq leads the groups Architecture Strategy, Definition and Development for Digital (omni channel, retailing, payments, web, mobile, booking, check-in) and Commercial, Airline and Airports business transformations (complex systems across the groups companies), Corporate systems and services (finance, procurement, medical and HR) and Technology, Cloud, Hybrid Integration, Digital Workplace, DevOps and Platforms across the aviation group. He is Highly experienced in cross-functional architecture, design and development for Business, Information, Application and Technology domains. Takhliq is passionate about Technology Innovation and disruption for business focused outcomes that benefit both employees and the groups global customers (across the customer 360 journey). Takhliq current focus (architecture, technology design) is business and technology platforms, digital and aviation transformations, cloud, API economy, data & hybrid Integration, AI and digital workplace Takhliq is a passionate believer in life long learning, mentoring and technology disruption. Zeina El Kaissi is the Chief Digital Director at the Smart Dubai Office where she spearheads Dubai-wide strategies and implementations of disruptive technologies and the positioning of Dubai as a global and industry leader in the smart city field.

In particular, she is currently leading the implementation of the globally recognized award-winning Dubai Paperless Strategy which aims to digitize all city transactions and experiences saving residents time and money spent on paper and visits to Government centers. Moreover, she helped launch the Dubai Blockchain Strategy in 2017 and is leading its implementation since then.

With over 12 years of experience, Zeina has held strategic roles in both the public and private sectors. She has worked as a Senior Consultant at The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE, where she led city-wide projects aimed at increasing the quality of life of Dubai residents and the economic competitiveness of the city regionally and globally. There, she also led the development of the Dubai 3D Printing Strategy launched by the Prime Minister in 2015. Prior to that, Zeina worked in management consulting at Booz and Company where her professional experience spanned diverse fields such as education reform, transportation planning and implementation, business policy advocacy, private sector and SME growth and Innovation policy and planning. She also served within the Abu Dhabi Government at the General Secretariat of the Executive Council where she led the Government-wide strategic planning and performance management of over 50 public sector agencies. Zeina was also a technology entrepreneur in the field of city experiences.

She holds an MBA with distinction from London Business School and BA with distinction in Corporate Finance from the American University of Beirut. Zeina has authored studies and perspectives on a wide range of topics including technology, public sector governance and innovation.

Sabine Holl is IBM’s Vice President Technical Sales and Chief Technology Officer for IBM Middle East and Africa. She is responsible for IBM's technical community across the Middle East & Africa. For her, innovation is literally driven by inclusion, across all levels of technology, skill and experiences, from graduates just starting out, through to thought leaders, specialists, architects and advocates, who help and advise IBM’s clients to accelerate and transform their business across all industries and into the fourth, cognitive, industrial revolution.

Early in her career in the mid 90’s, Sabine started as a graduate herself. In IBM Austria’s mainframe services division she partnered with clients to building out strategies, modernizing their existing environment and moving into the internet era. Impassioned about the arising opportunities that technology brings she quickly became a subject matter expert teaching workshops around the world, publishing several books, and being a trusted advisor to large institutions across Europe. With new markets opening up in Eastern Europe, Russia and the Middle East and Africa she led by example, introducing first of a kind, brand new technologies whilst transforming and persuading minds towards the digital world. It led her to be the first woman in IBMs software division in CEMEA region to be certified as an IT Specialist.
