From January 2024, the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) started to impact all EU-listed companies that meet certain eligibility criteria and will continue to phase gradually.
Against this backdrop, IBM commissioned Verdantix, an independent research firm, to assess CSRD challenges and recommend best practices for companies to achieve compliance. They utilized data from their 2023 global surveys of 400 sustainability executives and 350 net zero leaders, focusing on budgets, investment priorities, and technology preferences.
