Jim Cavanaugh

Jim Cavanaugh is the Global Director of Marketing & Research at HPE Financial Services (HPEFS), the world’s leading IT asset management company. HPEFS operates the world’s largest IT manufacturer refurbishing facilities, processing ~4 million assets yearly, with the vast majority refurbished and put back into the circular economy. 

With a focus on key themes aligned to the circular economy and creating smarter IT lifecycles, Jim leads an international team focused on digital marketing, global events, demand generation, marketing operations, research, and customer and partner experience monitoring for a $4B business unit (BU) operating in 55 countries. Jim represents HPEFS in pan-HPE initiatives related to sustainable IT and the circular economy.  

Jim also serves as HPEFS’ Inclusion and Diversity Council Lead responsible for a BU-wide colleague-led Inclusion and Diversity Council tasked with generating opportunities for the global colleague base to have meaningful engagements on diversity and issues relating to equity in the workplace.  

With over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, Jim has held various marketing and sales positions with major technology companies.  

Before joining HPEFS, Jim was the Director of Marketing for New York-based Business Traveler Magazine. He also held several roles at AT&T, including Director of their Executive Briefing and Events Programs and as a Strategic Marketing Manager for their data center solutions.  

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and Media from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. Jim lives in Seattle, WA and is an avid fiction reader.

Kimberly Fox

Kim manages Lenovo's corporate ESG operations functions as Senior Manager, Global ESG. Kim and her team manage EPR/product stewardship in the Americas and Southeast Asia and standards and compliance for product environmental requirements (restricted chemicals, energy efficiency, product carbon footprint, eco-disclosures), water and waste programs, product end of life management, and Lenovo's participation in ecolabels (EPEAT, ENERGY STAR). Kim has extensive industry experience in environmental compliance management as well as recycling and value recovery of electronics, consumable products, and durable goods. Kim lives in Seattle, USA and holds a MBA in Sustainability Management.

Neil Gallagher

Neil Gallagher is a member of the Sustainability Centre of Competence for EMEA at Apleona and has worked at the IBM Technology Campus in Dublin, Ireland, since 2004, where he has also had roles such as Ireland Environmental & Energy Coordinator and EMEA QHSE Lead. He holds a degree in Environmental Science and has experience in environmental, waste, chemical, energy and HSEQ management; internal audits; and environmental legal and regulatory management.

Neil is married with two daughters, ages 8 and 5, and lives in Dublin, Ireland.

Katrin Hornung

Katrin Hornung is the HSEQ Manager for Apleona ITS and the Team Lead of the Sustainability Center of Competence for EMEA at Apleona ITS. She has worked at Apleona Germancy since 2006 where she’s had roles such as Energy Management Coordinator, Environmental Management Coordinator, and Team Lead CoC Energy & Sustainability. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and has experience in environmental/quality/chemical management, business controls, HSEQ audits, waste management & waste supplier evaluation, and environmental checks and audits.

Katrin is married with three daughters, ages 10 and 8(twins), and lives near Nuremberg, Germany.

David McIntyre

David McIntyre drives compute, memory and storage acceleration solutions strategy for Samsung and has recently embraced the most important field of corporate sustainability across product technology development. He has held senior management positions with IBM, AMD and Intel along with numerous Silicon Valley startups. Prior to Samsung, he consulted for Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, UBS, and Mckinsey. He is on the SNIA board of directors. David is a frequent presenter at technical conferences where he strives to bridge the gap between technical solutions, application developers and the end customer experience, for a responsible and sustainable future.

Carmen Ramirez

Carmen Ramirez is the Senior Director, Environmental, Health, and Safety, at Flex, the manufacturing partner of choice that helps a diverse customer base design and build products to improve the world. 

As a leader within the global environmental, health, and safety (EHS) organization and bringing more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Ramirez is focused with ensuring the company’s 100+ facilities globally are compliant with evolving local, state, and national EHS regulations and strengthening a culture of environmental sustainability and workplace safety. In her role, she and her team define, implement, and scale corporate EHS standards, manuals, specifications, and training materials in multiple languages that align with the Responsible Business Alliance and ISO standards. She is also responsible for developing, implementing, and driving a global approach in collaboration with site leadership teams to achieve the company’s commitment of zero-waste certifying 50% of manufacturing and logistics sites by 2025. 

Ms. Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Human Resources from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Jalisco, Mexico. Additionally, she is a qualified lead auditor for ISO 14/45001 and RBA standards, and a passionate member of RBA’s Mexico Network.
