What are the limitations of automatic views in this release?
Answer
Automatic views do not yet support the following ClearCase features:
- Atomic checkin
- Request for Mastership (RFM)
- Integrations with ClearQuest, Rational Team Concert, Visual Studio, and Rational Desktop products
- Removal of a load rule whose scope includes a checked out file or directory.
- Symbolic link creation (you cannot create symbolic links in CTE, regardless of view type; however, link traversal is supported)
- Version-extended pathnames from non-ClearCase tools
- Client-side shared-cleartext cache scrubbing
- UNIX/Linux
- Proxy server support
- Authenticating firewall support
