Troubleshooting
Problem
Upgrading IBM Rational ClearCase on Microsoft Windows from 7.1.2.8 (or earlier) to 7.1.2.9 (or later), or from 8.0.0.4 (or earlier) to 8.0.0.5 (or later) will cause a non default value for the version extended name suffix to reset to the default value, @@.
Symptom
The non default value of the version extended name suffix has been reset to the default.
Resolving The Problem
To restore your custom value:
- Select IBM Rational ClearCase > Home base > Administration > Control Panel > MVFS
- Edit the value of Extended Naming Suffix
- Restart ClearCase
