Installing Subversion on an IBM Netezza 1000 system

Question & Answer

Question

How do I install Subversion on an IBM Netezza 1000 system?

Answer

Subversion, the open-source version control system, does not come installed on IBM Netezza 1000 (formerly TwinFin) systems. If you want to run Subversion, you must install it manually.  For certified Red Hat Linux 64-bit RPMs of the Subversion client, visit CollabNet.

Note: Do not use YUM (Yellowdog Updater, Modified), the open-source command line package management utility for Linux, to download or update the necessary RPMs.

To download the RPMs for Subversion, you must first register at CollabNet.
