IT48112: CTGGA2262 ERROR CANNOT LOAD SUCH FILE - WINRM (LOADERROR) ON APPLICATION INVENTORY JOB AFTER UPDATE TO 10.1.17

Error description

• The IBM Storage Protect Plus application inventory job for
  Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Exchange servers can stop with
  the following messages :
  
  SUMMARY,..CTGGA2398,Starting job for policy Application Server
                     Inventory. id -> <JobId>. IBM Spectrum
                     Protect Plus version 10.1.17-152.
  ...   INFO,..,CTGGA2054,Performing discovery on server
                      <SQLServerAddress> ...
   ERROR,..,CTGGA2262,Failed to connect to the remote host
                      <SQLServerAddress>.
                      e= java.lang.Exception: Unable to deliver
                      file c:\ProgramData\SPP\staging\
                      sppagent.exe on guest.
                      Error cannot load such file - winrm
                      (LoadError)
   ERROR,..,CTGGA0790,Failed to complete (<SQLServerAddress>)
                      inventorying.
  
  The same type of error will be reported for a backup job that
  protects existing registered hosts.
  The issue is due to missing Ruby elements needed to interact
  with the Microsoft WinRM service in Windows hosts that need to
  be protected.
  The following command run on the IBM Storage Protect Plus
  appliance command line will return an empty result if these Ruby
  
  elements are missing :
  
  gem list|grep winrm
  
  The issue will be seen only on 10.1.17 IBM Storage Protect Plus
  appliances having no connection to internet.

Problem conclusion

• In IBM Storage Protect Plus Level 10.1.17, some ruby-gems
  packages required internet connectivity to download them. These
  packages are required to make SQL Inventory functional.
  In IBM Storage Protect Plus Level 10.1.17.1, this problem has
  been identified and fixed. Now, these packages will be installed
  during RPM installation and won't require any internet
  connectivity.
