• In the allow-origin field of a CORS rule, wildcard characters
  are not supported, and this is stated in the documentation.
  However, the
  user can enter wildcard characters (e.g., a value of *) and they
   are accepted.

  the wildcard characters without any notice or reject for the
  unsupported input.
