Starting from a power-off condition

If your system must be powered on, perform these steps.

  1. Use the control panel to set the IPL type to B and to either one of these modes:
    • Normal. On some models, this will appear as BN.
    • Manual. On some models, this will appear as BM
  2. Press Enter on the control panel.
  3. On your console, ensure that you have a connection to the system.
